Walid's first venture into the entrepreneurial space was in 2018 where he co-founded a blockchain Insurtech that was later acquired. In November 2020, Walid co-founded Hala Insurance with one simple goal: Insure the millions living in the Middle East. Since then, Hala has been disrupting the sleepy insurance industry one policyholder at a time through affordable, quick, and online car and home insurance.
